Isabel Matthews is an Australian soprano and University Medal-winning graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University. She began her studies in Brisbane before spending a year at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, National University of Singapore, where she studied classical voice and undertook research in arts and health.

Her recent performance highlights include the Gilbert and Sullivan Spectacular with Queensland Musical Theatre, the French Melodies Concert Series, and Opera Scenes in Singapore, as well as chorus roles in Iolanthe and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Queensland Conservatorium. With a strong interest in crossover work, Isabel performs across both classical and contemporary styles, including regular pop gigs at venues across Brisbane.

She is passionate about the role of the arts in everyday life, particularly their ability to foster connection and wellbeing. Isabel is delighted to be stepping into her first role with Springboard Opera as Monica in The Medium.
