Springboard Opera will be holding our Annual General Auditions for emerging South East Queensland singers on the 2nd of November. The performance program for 2026 is expected to include works by Verdi (female voices only), Menotti and Charpentier. It is strongly advised that auditionees choose repertoire from these composers, if they are able to. Auditions will be conducted in two stages.
Stage 1. Video Submission
Singers will be required to submit a recording of one aria of their choosing, along with their CV and headshot. This recording is to be no more than 6 months old. Performance videos be accepted but must be edited to only show one aria. Please upload your video to a streaming platform like Youtube or Vimeo and submit it along with the other requirements via the form below. Submission are due by the COB 23rd of October.
Stage 2. Live Auditions
After reviewing the video auditions, selected singers will be invited to attend live auditions on the 2nd of November. They will be asked to present two contrasting arias for a panel. Once again it is strongly recommended that auditionees choose pieces by Verdi (female voices), Menotti and Charpentier, or works of a similar nature that show a capability for those styles. Further details regarding audition times and location will be provided via email when live auditions are confirmed on the 27th of October. An accompanist will be provided on the day, please bring printed sheet music.
